BEIJING, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Monday congratulated Rob Jetten on assuming office as prime minister of the Netherlands.
In his message, Li said that China and the Netherlands are important cooperative partners to each other. Strengthening cooperation in areas such as multilateralism and free trade serves the common interests of both sides and contributes to global prosperity and stability, he added.
Li expressed his willingness to work together with Jetten to promote new progress in the open and pragmatic partnership for comprehensive cooperation between China and the Netherlands, so as to deliver more benefits to the peoples of both countries.
