THE HAGUE, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- Dutch semiconductor equipment maker ASML registered net income of 9.6 billion euros (11.5 billion U.S. dollars) last year, up 26 percent from 2024, according to a report released by the company on Wednesday.

According to ASML President and Chief Executive Officer Christophe Fouquet, net sales totaled 32.7 billion euros for the year, an increase of 16 percent compared with 2024. The company posted record quarterly net sales of 9.7 billion euros in the fourth quarter of 2025, mainly driven by stronger expectations regarding the sustainability of AI-related demand.

Fouquet said 2026 is expected to be another growth year for ASML, largely supported by a significant increase in extreme ultraviolet (EUV) sales and the expansion of its installed base business. "For the full year 2026, we expect total net sales to be between 34 billion euros and 39 billion euros," he said.

ASML also said on Wednesday that it plans to cut about 1,700 jobs as part of efforts to sharpen its focus on engineering and innovation.

ASML is headquartered in Veldhoven, in the southern Netherlands. (1 euro = 1.2 U.S. dollars)
